About Me
I am a clinical psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Psychology from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and more than 4,500 hours of clinical experience accumulated over eight years.
I receive weekly training and supervision from analysts of the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA), clinical supervisors, and supervisors certified by the Chinese psychological registration system.
My professional development includes over 500 hours of personal analysis, 300 hours of individual supervision, and 500 hours of group supervision, all of which continue on an ongoing weekly basis.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent more than 12 years managing operations and projects in Fortune 500 companies, and later co-founded a firm providing EAP psychological services to large corporations. Traveling across different countries allowed me to witness how culture, history, and social context shape people, enriching my understanding of life and human experience.
These diverse life experiences have shaped my sensitive, perceptive and my deeply accepting therapeutic style. I hope to accompany you with openness and curiosity, helping us explore your inner world together and discover what truly matters to you.
My Understanding of Therapy
When you walk into therapy, you bring a suitcase with you — a suitcase filled with the stories of your life. At the beginning, neither of us truly knows what is inside.
With each session, the suitcase opens a little more. Together, we begin to see the emotions that have been compressed, the memories that were forgotten, and the compartments that were hidden away. What was once locked inside gradually becomes something we can both see, touch, and reorganize. Its position shifts, and sometimes it even transforms.
I see psychotherapy as fundamentally a relationship — a unique form of relationship that is different from everyday interactions. It is both real and not-real, and it is a journey where “the unreal helps us discover the real.”
The “unreal” part is the structure: boundaries, timing, and the protected space, as if we are sitting inside a glass dome, shielded from the noise of the outside world. The “real” part is the emotional truth — the feelings that are seen, understood, and genuinely moved.
And precisely because of this “unreal space,” we gain the safety to explore parts of ourselves that daily life does not allow us to touch. Slowly, we move closer to ourselves, bring order to inner chaos, and find new possibilities for living.
How I Work
When you come into the therapy room, whatever you have experienced has already exceeded your inner capacity to hold it. The chaos, pain, anxiety, frustration, jealousy, despair, emptiness, confusion, depression, and the urgent longing for answers may feel as if they are spilling over — perhaps even on the verge of breaking.
You come with confusion and pain, but also with uncertainty, hope, and—most importantly— courage. I work to accompany you, to understand the meaning behind what you are going through.
Every person is a unique existence in this world, with inherent value and meaning. No one can fully “feel exactly what you feel” unless they were living inside your skin and blood, walking and breathing as you do. In that sense, being human is inherently lonely;
But when someone is willing to sit beside you, to look, listen, and feel from your perspective, your inner reality can be experienced differently. Your psychological capacities expand, and your inner container grows larger.
Most of my training is in psychoanalysis. I believe psychoanalytic work provides a three-dimensional space—one that connects the past while looking toward the future, allowing a deeper understanding of who you are, how you became who you are, and how you may live more authentically.
Wherever you are in your life, the therapy I offer is a collaborative journey rooted in curiosity and care.
